Discover Groups Collaborate, learn, and grow in monitored communities. Groups on Talent Lawn are structured, goal-oriented spaces where users with shared interests or career paths can interact. All groups include moderator oversight (teacher, parent, or verified professional), and conversations involving minors are visible to their supervising adult. 1. Career Pathway Groups Explore your future, step by step. Groups dedicated to specific careers (e.g., medicine, engineering, design, data science, entrepreneurship, arts). Members share resources, ask questions, post internship alerts, and learn from alumni and professionals. Ideal for students, passouts, and career aspirers. 2. Skill Building & Certification Groups Learn. Practice. Earn credentials. Focused on specific skills (coding, digital marketing, freelance writing, graphic design, public speaking, etc.). Includes weekly challenges, peer reviews, resource libraries, and live mentor sessions. Teachers and industry volunteers guide progress. 3. Freelancer & Gig Economy Group Turn projects into paychecks. A collaborative space for freelancers, early entrepreneurs, and startups to find project partners, share contract tips, review gig opportunities, and showcase portfolios. Minors must have parent/teacher co-access. 4. Startup & Entrepreneurship Hub From idea to impact. For aspiring and early-stage founders. Discuss business models, pitch ideas, find co-founders, share legal/tax basics, and participate in startup challenges. Monitored by experienced entrepreneurs or teacher-mentors. 5. Dropout Re-engagement & Alternative Paths Group It’s never too late to restart. Supportive, judgment-free space for dropouts and those redefining their education or career path. Share vocational training links, apprenticeship openings, GED prep, and success stories. Parent/teacher facilitators ensure constructive guidance. 6. Alumni Mentorship Circles Learn from those who walked before you. Small, batch-wise groups where alumni mentor current students from the same institution. Discussions cover college applications, job prep, referrals, and real-world work culture. All chats are logged and accessible to teachers. 7. Parent-Teacher Career Guidance Group Empower the next generation together. Private groups for parents and teachers to discuss career trends, monitoring best practices, workshop ideas, and student progress. No minors allowed. 8. Local Talent & Opportunities Group Connect near you, safely. Location-based groups (city or district level) for sharing local internships, part-time jobs, volunteering, startup meetups, and skill workshops. All posts are moderated before public visibility for users under 18. 9. Project Collaboration Group Build your portfolio with a team. Students, freelancers, and early entrepreneurs team up for real-world projects (e.g., app development, campaign design, research). Project leads must be verified adults, and all milestones are trackable by supervising parents/teachers. 10. Institution-Wide Student Group Your school/college community, unified. Official groups for each educational institution enrolled on Talent Lawn. Used for announcements, peer tutoring, event planning, and alumni interactions. Managed jointly by teachers and student moderators. Key Safety Feature for All Groups: Every group has at least one verified adult moderator (teacher, parent, or professional). For groups with users under 18, parents/teachers automatically receive read-only access to conversations. Users can report any inappropriate content or contact instantly.
